Remote Education Plan

* Students will be instructed using online curriculum resources and activities supporting grade level standards as guided by the PA Department of Education.

 

* Curriculum implementation by core teachers will be provided through multiple means of online support and resources including Pearson, Zoom, Seesaw, Freckle, and Lalilo.

 

* Assignments will be posted with directions, videos, and audio instructions.

 

* Core teachers will interact with students during recommended times for direct instruction, open time for small group/individual guidance, and check in times for additional support or enrichment.

 

* Teachers will be required to maintain accurate and progressive lesson plans.

 

* Curriculum materials will be available in hard copy as well, by parent request, to guarantee all students with and without internet access receive the tools to flourish, learn, and grow academically.

 

* Communication between staff, parents, students, and teachers will occur via Email, voice calls, and video calls.

 

* Chromebooks to families will be offered for at-home use to help support digital learning.

Instructional/Curriculum Plan

Counselor

Counselor will;

* provide a conference and/or call for families as needed,

* offering sessions to students,

* review Email and voicemail daily,

* organize and facilitate weekly Q & A sessions with parents,

* assist teachers/families with remote learning “How to Steps”,

* review, update, and create a management system for 504’s, SAIP’s, and homebound instruction,

* work on a social skills curriculum and counseling manual,

* participate in PLCs to offer support,

* interact with special education team, and

* create resources and activities to keep student engaged and in communication with the school.

Special Education

Special Education Team will:

* use Seesaw and Zoom to provide instruction to and interact with students,

* utilize Pearson, Freckle, and Lalilo during instruction and activities,

* create classes with assignments aligned with the IEP,

* transcribe voice instructions into written instructions as needed,

* track the skills of their students,

* post videos, photos, or drawings with assignments to provide instruction as needed,

* ensure assignments provided in accordance with the IEP,

* collaborate with the general education teachers to ensure goals are being met,

* participate in PLC meetings, and

* offer guidance to students and families via Zoom.

Title 1

Teacher will

* invite students across grade levels to enter a group meeting via Zoom,

* focus on the necessary skills for each group (i.e. Phonemic awareness),

* assign activities using Pearson, First In Math, Freckle, and Seesaw via Zoom and Email,

* communicate with homeroom teachers, and

* participate in PLC meetings.

ESL

Teacher will:

* utilize Zoom for instruction,

* meet with each grade level twice a week,

* assign activities from online resources including Pearson, First In Math, and Freckle,

* provide support with any core subject area as needed,

* participate in PLC meetings, and

* collaborate with students’ general education teacher.

Curriculum Coordinator

Coordinator will:

* monitor emails and provide support to teachers and parents requiring curriculum assistance,

* facilitate usage of Pearson, First In Math, Freckle, Lalilo, and Seesaw,

* participate in team leader meetings,

* run reports on curriculum usage,

* stay current with usage and services provided by each curriculum component,

* obtain and maintain free curriculum full subscriptions, and

* provide quotes and terms to be reviewed for possible subscriptions to current free offerings.

Student Behavior Coordinator

Coordinator will:

* offer weekly lunch groups for students who met as lunch groups in school,

* assist teachers with lessons,

* create a weekly character trait video,

* encourage students to create posters based upon that trait and share with classmates and faculty members, and

* attend PLC meetings upon request.

Health Services

Nurse will

* provide resources for parents on nutrient and COVID-19,

* provide Email support for parents should they need to contact the nurse for any reason, and

* ensure information is posted on the school’s website.
